Located in a beautiful natural setting, this wooden facility manufactures mechanical watches for the wristwatch brand Grand Seiko. The facility includes a clean space and a showroom where visitors can learn about the history and background of the brand. In clean rooms where precision machinery is assembled, only climbing beam structures are used to avoid the use of horizontal materials inside the rooms, which tend to collect dust inside the rooms. The structure is established by concentrating the weight of the building in the corridor around the clean room. The clean room and other large open spaces with exposed structures are composed of various connectors such as Node.Rigid, a connector for rahmen frame joints. Rigid connectors for rigid-frame joints. Sloped rahmen was used to create a distinctive roof shape that connects to the surrounding natural environment while maintaining the large space.
