This is an example of our work for the 17th International Architecture Exhibition at the Venice Biennale, Japan Pavilion, “Co-ownership of Action: Trajectories of Elements”. For the Japan Pavilion exhibition, a Japanese wooden house that had reached the end of its useful life was dismantled and transported to Venice, where the dismantled parts were reassembled and reconstructed into new forms such as exhibition stands, benches, and projection screens. For the rehabilitation and reconstruction, it was necessary to join the dismantled pieces of old wood to each other or old wood to new wood, and STROOG ready-made connectors and custom-made connectors were used.
