Face.Lattice

Space with Light and Breeze

Face.Lattice is a component to configure a lattice bearing wall which was co-developed by STROOG and the University of Tokyo as an aseismic wall which allows the light in and wind to pass through.
By not requiring fire resistant covering, this aseismic wall can be used in an exposed structure, enabling large-scale buildings to realize a space surrounded by wood.
It allows communities to utilize locally produced timber and express it as a design feature.

Encompassing Small to Large-Scale Buildings

Face.Lattice can be used for not only residential but also school-scale buildings.
This has been proven in kindergarten, school, and government buildings.
