Event of Observing a Structure
Event of Observing a Structure
The event of observing a structure is going to be held on May 22.
The beautiful woody space is designed by using LVL laminated walls that are connected with Face.Solid connectors.
Face.Solid connector resist against a vertical load and the horizontal force like an earthquake. Therefore Face.Solid connector realizes the design that is freed from the concept of frame method.
The connector is invisible because the connector is inside timber. Therefore beautiful woody texture is utilized effectively.
Node.Free connector is used as a turn buckle to restrain a thrust.
Architectural Design : Yukihide Mizuno Architects.
Structural Design : NAWAKENJI-M from SUWA architecs+engineers
Contractor : Anada construction company

Event of Observing a Structure
Event of Observing a Structure
The event of observing a structure is going to be held on May 20 – 21.
Node.Rigid connectors that realize rigid joints are used to realize a large space under the 2 meters depth of snow. The span of the space is 11 meters, the depth is 19 meters and the height is 8 me-
ters.
Two storey rahmen frames were used to realize the large space due to the following points.
1. To make short the distance of the bearing wall line
2. To suppress an interlayer-deformation-angle
3. The shortage of bearing walls for resisting to an earthquake
The beam that has big sectional height was connected by using Node.HSML connectors. Node.HSML connectors are developed for a large wooden building.
The structural integrity of these buildings were verified by 3-dimensional analysis system.

Angle braces that have each different angle are connected by using Node.Free connectors
to the structure of the building.
Node.Free connectors realize a universal joint. Therefore Angle braces are connected at a
free angle to reinforce the structure. And furthermore, Angle braces are used as a play eq-
uipment.
Main structure is connected by Stroog connecters. As a result, beautiful space is realized.

Case of a Wooden Building
Case of a Wooden Building
This is a case of wooden structure that is consist of two buildings.
The total floor area is over 886 square meter.
The structural integrity of these buildings were verified by 3-dimensional analysis
system.
The longitudinal size of Building A is 40 meters.
5 nursery rooms are arranged in the Building A. The each nursery room is 6 meters
long and 8 meters wide.
A nursery room in the Building B is 7 meters long and 14.5 meters wide. A play room
in the Building B is 9 meters long and 12 meters wide. The Above of the playroom is
an open ceiling.
Ready made connectors realize the shortening of design hours and the cost reduction.
There are about 140 pre-cut factories across Japan are compatible with STROOG.
Therefore, a near factroy can proveide pre-cut timber to the construction site.
